Coca Cola, Australia places order with
Univeyor
Innovative Layer Picker™ solution was the
key
Univeyor’s patented Layer Picker solution is on its way into
leading distribution warehouses in Europe – and now also into Coca
Cola’s new distribution warehouse in Melbourne, Australia. The Univeyor order is one of the key
elements of a total delivery from Swisslog Australia. The system was installed late 2003.
Automated picking of whole layers – or
separated into parcels
The Layer Picker solution for Coca Cola has two functions: whole
layers of various products can be taken from article pallets and
placed on customer pallets that can subsequently be combined as
mixed pallets. Furthermore, whole layers can be split up into
parcels and conveyed to the sortation system for collation of
customer orders.
Universal solution with large potential
The reason that the Univeyor Layer Picker solution is unique – and
the reason for the large interest in the market – is that the
concept is universal, meaning that a wide range of products and
types of packaging can be handled, including Coca Cola boxes, cans
and bottles - with a capacity of 170 layers per hour. |
