Univeyor Service Management (USM)
– a reliable investment
We are securing an increasing number of USM agreements, with the
growth coming from two areas. Existing customers, who in the past
have either had a hotline agreement or no agreement, have chosen
to place the responsibility for maintenance solely with Univeyor.
New customers are also opting for a USM agreement from start – as
part of the whole investment.
Oticon extend service agreement
In January 2007 one of our long established customers, the hearing
aid manufacturer Oticon, entered into a 3-year USM agreement with
Univeyor. 6 years ago, Oticon automated their operation with a
Univeyor miniload store and picking system with 2 cranes and 3
pick stations. Oticon has until now only had a hotline agreement
with Univeyor along with regular service visits. |

Carsten Hedemann, Manager Outbound Logistics
at Oticon, says:We have entered in a
USM agreement with Univeyor for several reasons. Firstly, it
is an investment in the complete reliability of the system,
which also offers a high availability of vital spare parts.
Secondly, it is a proactive measure to prevent wear and tear
and of course breakdowns. Furthermore, this means that our
own resources are now being used elsewhere within the
business so that we can continue the manufacture of hearing
aids. It also gives us peace-of-mind knowing the exact level
of costs for any repairs or maintenance in the future. |

Latest – SHG invests in USM agreement
IT and e-commerce company SHG, has recently entered into a 5-year
USM agreement as part of their invest-ment in the new Univeyor
Miniload system being supplied in February.
SHG decided from the outset that the main-tenance of the system was
paramount, as it would provide less financial risk in the long term.
