Mike Vernon Appointed Vice-President of
AMHSA
Mike Vernon, General Manager of Univeyor Limited, has been
appointed Vice-President of
the Automated Materials Handling and
Storage Association (AMHSA). AMHSA is the voice of
the UK
automated handling industry – its members include both large and
small companies from
the conveyor, crane and system integration
arms of the industry. AMHSA members supply over 80% of all
automated handling equipment purchased in the UK.
Mike’s appointment is recognition of his broad industry knowledge,
acquired during more than twenty years’ experience of materials
handling. He has been an active member of AMHSA for several years
and knows many of the members well. He also has a keen interest in
Health and Safety legislation currently affecting the industry.
All this, coupled with his enthusiasm for the role, made him an
ideal candidate for Vice-President.
AMHSA provides a forum for members to discuss matters of mutual
interest and to promote ever-improving standards of quality and
safety for users of automated materials handling systems. The
Association plays a significant role in the drafting of CEN and
ISO standards affecting the automated handling sector. |
